17 year old Natasha Kneebone finished school with 13 GCSEs at A*s to Cs and started college with the rest of her school friends excited about the new pathways that were about to open for her. However as time went on it was clear that college just wasn’t for her. “It’s unlike me to quit at anything, I didn’t have a clue what to do next, until I saw an advert for an Apprenticeship.”
Tasha managed to secure a Marketing Apprenticeship with Truro and Penwith College Business Centre. Since starting her Apprenticeship, Tasha has flourished “when I first started my Apprenticeship I severely lacked confidence” but she has now grown into a very capable young marketer.
Since Tasha’s Apprenticeship started she has taking on many roles within the Business Centre from organising events to creating flyers, she has given presentations to schools about Apprenticeships and has dealt with incoming enquiries. “I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my Apprenticeship, I really love that I get to work whilst still gaining qualifications, it’s the best thing I could have ever done!”
Tasha has now secured a position as a Marketing and Administration Assistant to complete her Advanced Apprenticeship so that she can get into University. “I had no idea what I was going to do with myself before I started, but this Apprenticeship has shown me the route I want to take and given me the confidence and know how to do so.”
